Research Interests: religion, sexuality, gender, empire in Britain in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Current Projects: I am currently working on a study of the intersections between science, religion, and sexuality in modern Britain (c. 1870-1940); a second project is an introductory textbook under contract to the University of Toronto Press, tentatively titled Sexuality in Modern Europe. The manuscript is scheduled to be completed in early 2010.
